Club Adventure

Heritage Christian Services is proud to offer Club Adventure as part of its respite programs.

Club Adventure is a site-based respite program that meets multiple times a month and offers social and recreational opportunities for participants ages 5-30. Some scheduled activities are age-specific, otherwise all are welcome. Activities may take place at our location in Tonawanda or at locations around western New York after meeting at the site. Club Adventure meets every Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the exception of certain holidays.

What is respite?

Enriching quality of life is a priority at Heritage Christian Services – not only for those we serve with intellectual and developmental disabilities, but also for their caregivers and families. The Club Adventure respite program at Heritage Christian Services offers short-term care for children and adults with special needs.

Families can rest assured that their loved ones are being cared for by trained, professional staff members who will support their needs.

Benefits of respite

• High staff-to-participant ratio of 1:3
• One-on-one staffing available
• Free to those who are eligible to receive Medicaid services in Erie, Orleans, Genesee and Niagara counties through the Western New York Developmental Disabilities Service Office.

Parents and guardians are responsible for transportation, providing a bagged lunch (Saturday events) and completing appropriate paperwork. Please note that for the safety of all attendees and staff, nuts and nut products (peanut butter, almond butter, etc.) are not permitted at Club Adventure.
