If you’ve been following my blog, you know that people come first at Heritage Christian Services. That powerful part of our foundation guides every decision we make.

Later this month, we’ll be releasing our 2019 Report to the Community. In it, you’ll see examples of how our values drive that person-centered mission. You’ll read about …

• the heartfelt dedication and responsibility that our workforce embraces as they support people and families;
• proof points that we’re taking care of our staff and working to empower each of our employees to be their best at work and at home;
• the ways we weave collaboration into everything we do, always striving to rise above systemic barriers that can bypass true human needs.

We’ve always stood up for equity and inclusion, and that hasn’t changed. We are so proud of our staff and the meaningful ways they share their lives with the people we serve. They deserve to be recognized for their skills and professionalism. They deserve livable wages that compensate them fairly for the important services they offer. And the people who choose our services deserve care professionals who want to do the best job they possibly can.

Our values form a powerful springboard that will elevate us as we take on new challenges in 2020. Stand with us this year as we look at ways to unpack the status quo and disrupt a system that often seems to default to data instead of an understanding of people’s needs. In today’s environment, your encouragement and energy are more important than ever, and we so appreciate all that you offer.
