It’s a gift to serve on the leadership team of an organization as tight-knit as ours, where we are all able to gather, whether in-person or virtually, and learn from each other. When you consider the size and scope of our agency, it truly is a blessing when we can gather in these ways and in such numbers.

Last month, I had the privilege of speaking at our agency update, and had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with people from both of our regions of service. Our agency updates are a chance for people to connect directly with members of our leadership team, who offer information and news on several strategic areas of our work. In turn, we also opened the floor to questions from people we support and our staff, hearing their questions and concerns directly.

As we close the book on 2023, we are looking for new and creative ways to bring people together and celebrate the staff members who work so hard to make Heritage Christian Services successful. We will be hosting our employee holiday luncheon in December, which will be hosted at the Floreano Riverside Convention Center in downtown Rochester. We will also be releasing our annual employee engagement survey next month, which will help inform us about what staff members need in the coming year.

As we look forward to the celebration of our 40th anniversary next year we are filled with gratitude and faithful optimism.  Our work is important and everyone has a role in the success of this mission.
