Celebrating 40 Years of Service

In June 2024, Heritage Christian Services will celebrate its 40^th anniversary of supporting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our agency began with one residential home in Webster, and has expanded to serve communities in the Finger Lakes and western New York with residential services, day habilitation, self-directed services, respite services, and so much more.

A lot can be accomplished in a single year, let alone 40. Growth doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Our agency depends on the continued support and prayer of community partners, family members, donors and elected officials to enact the work of our mission. Our sustained growth demonstrates just how strong that support network is.

The same is true about our direct support professionals, who walk with the people our agency supports through every phase of their lives, celebrating their accomplishments and being present in times of difficulty. Your continued advocacy at the local and state level is necessary to ensure frontline care professionals are respected for their essential work and paid the wages that reflect this compassionate work, and allow them greater self-sufficiency in their own lives.

The work we are doing on agency-supported homes as part of the Homes with Heart campaign will continue into 2024 and beyond. You can help us establish accessible and modernly designed homes that can support an estimated 400 people over the next 60 years with your donation. As we aim to reach our fundraising goal of $9.1 million, we hope the strong support from the community will continue.

As we find ways to come together to celebrate 40 wonderful years on June 24, we are grateful for where we are and optimistic about what the next 40 years hold. Thank you for joining us!
