Community partnerships have been a cornerstone of Heritage Christian Services for over 40 years. A terrific example is how our latest collaboration with Bryant & Stratton College to offer the Direct Support Training Program is advancing the development of caring professionals.

Participants in this program will attend classes at Bryant & Stratton’s Henrietta campus and receive training and shadowing opportunities at Heritage Christian Services over five weeks. Upon completion, they will be hired in full-time direct support roles at HCS and will earn three college credits.

Direct support work involves complex skills and advanced training, requiring a high level of professionalism with significant responsibility. This robust training opportunity contributes to elevating the caring profession as a whole. The Direct Support Training Program is a crucial step in helping the community recognize the importance of caregiving jobs and a better trained, more confident worker is expected to result in improved support and continuity of care for people.
