Volunteer Spotlight

Ruth Gaspin and the Ogden Presbyterian Youth Group have been volunteering with Heritage Christian Services for three years now. The group of teens started out helping at A Second Thought Resale Shop cleaning the store and sorting through donations. They loved volunteering there, so the students asked to do more.

These youth have since volunteered as servers, petting zoo helpers and kids craft supervisors at the Christmas with Santa event at Springdale Farm, and they helped at the Greater Rochester Horseman’s Winter Classic as well. Gaspin, the group’s supervisor, said the students ask to come back because they like the variety of volunteer opportunities that Heritage Christian has to offer and they love the people there.

The group also volunteers with Ronald McDonald House and does chores for the elderly. The youth group has already volunteered at A Second Thought and will be at the Sheep Shearing Festival at Springdale Farm in April. Thank you, Ruth and the youth from Ogden Presbyterian! We very much appreciate your support!
